    The Desert

I went to Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree this past Saturday with my good friend Steve Garza, whom I've known for the last 17 years. In Yucca Valley, we spent two hours shopping in an old bookstore. We then went to this frontier town, that seemed to be right out of an old western. We had an incredible lunch there in this saloon-style restaurant/bar that had the most amazing jukebox ever. The second part of the day, we spent in Joshua Tree, where we hiked, rock climbed, and took pictures until the sun went down. All in all, it was a fun day trip...

Those rocks look like they were placed there instead of occurring naturally. Do you know the history of the rocks?

    Hey Rafi --

    these are beautiful photos.
But, i scrolled down a little on your blog, and checked out the google view of your block. Then, I typed in my old address on Meridian, and I saw a "For Rent - Westside Rentals" sign in the front yard -- just the info I was looking for! I wonder how current these maps are?

The rocks are volcanic. And have been there for thousands of years...

    Yes that is my shadow.

I can't see the woman in the bikini... ;-)

I wonder who lives in Robin's old house on Meridian now...

Glad to hear you had a good Easter Anka.

The other day a lady from Texas started to talk with us here in Ljubljana in the center, she stopped us because she liked David, we walked with her to the hotel - she gave us her card and a package of chili powder and I am just making pasta sauce and I added a little bit of chili - yummie, yummie!!!! I will send her e-mail!
