    The Desert

I went to Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree this past Saturday with my good friend Steve Garza, whom I've known for the last 17 years. In Yucca Valley, we spent two hours shopping in an old bookstore. We then went to this frontier town, that seemed to be right out of an old western. We had an incredible lunch there in this saloon-style restaurant/bar that had the most amazing jukebox ever. The second part of the day, we spent in Joshua Tree, where we hiked, rock climbed, and took pictures until the sun went down. All in all, it was a fun day trip...

What I am listening to right now

I absolutely love this woman! She has three recordings out. She's a New Yorker. She's kinda jazz. She's kinda pop. Kinda hip-hop. Kinda reggae. She's a sharp songwriter. And I can't get enough of Nellie McKay and her music right now.

This performance from an appearance on The View is a few years old. (Notice all the former hosts...) There's a little interview followed by Miss McKay's singing. Enjoy!!!

    Somebody is Watching Me

I decided to enter my address in Google Search, and clicked on the "satellite" link. What I got was this aerial view of my block and my house. I don't know whether to be impressed by this feature or to be scared by the idea that I am possibly being watched...

    P.S
    Remember to zoom in.

    Hurray for Harry!

I am not really into royal families and monarchies, but I really dig that Prince Harry! If you ask me, he should be Britain's next king, not Charles or William. If he were to become king, I'd move to a British Commonwealth nation in an instant!
